Wonderful white and crisp winter weather
- Go skiing, ice skating on one of the outdoor skating rinks, sledding, walking in the crisp white snow.
 Poland is geared up for winter ; there are cable cars and trains to take you to the top of mountains in the Tatra (Carpathian) range for fantastic views.
Lots of winter sports to enjoy including snow boarding, skiing, cross-country skiing, sledding and tobogganing. Watch the children have a whale of a time.
Plenty of pubs and restaurants for after skiing refreshments and drinks. Enjoy hot mulled wine, warm beer with raspberry juice or honey (it's actually very pleasant)..
Places to visit near Rabka and Zakopane
Go to Lake Czorsztyn for a frozen lake when the ice lies thick in ripples, enjoy a meal at the Karczma and visit the castle museum..
- Buy glamorous and warm sheepskin coats at Zakopane market with perhaps a furry hat to match.
- Listen for the jingle of bells as horse drawn sleighs approach.
