National parks in Małopolska, Poland

Our 5 bedroom holiday home is situated within roughly half an hour's drive of 4 national parks in Malopolska, southern Poland.

It would be a good base for touring or visiting these national parks and outdoor activity holidays.

Malopolska means 'little Poland' and is one of the most scenic parts of Poland, sharing the Tatrzanski National Park with Slovakia to the south near Zakopane.

The Pieninski National Park lies to the south east near Lake Czorsztyn. One of the attractions of this national park is rafting through the breathtakingly beautiful Dunajec Gorge. The rafts are steered by the local Gorale people.

A 2 hour trail along the Dunajec River takes you into Slovakia where you can pay a visit to the red monastery.

The Pieninski is Poland's oldest national park and preserves thousands of species of rare animal and plant life.

The Pieninski National Park

The Pieninski National park at the east ern end of Lake Czorsztyn on the Dunajec river near Kopanisko.

A stunningly beautiful location, ideal for cycling, walking and water sports on the lake.

Tatrzanski National Park

The Tatrazanski National Park is shared with Slovakia south of the border. It encompasses the forested Tatra Mountains and offers all kinds of mountain sports including climbing, walking, skiing in winter.

The Babiogorski National Park

The Babiogorski National park is shared with the Czech Republic to the west. There are hiking trails, mountain biking, visitor centres, all with the most beautiful views.

Wild animals such as the now rare wolf, wildcat and lynx survive. Lots of interesting birdlife, unusual butteflies.
